Wrestlemania Weekend is here and that means more wrestling than anyone could desire. That isn't a bad thing, but it does end up making it a bit hard. I personally don't have unlimited time to watch a seemingly infinite wrestling shows and matches. However, I will tell you that I am extremely enticed to order more wrestling shows this time around than I ever have. I will give you a short glimpse into what specific events and matches interest me this weekend and how to order them.
1. ROH Tag Team Championships: FTR vs. The Briscoe Brothers (c) - (ROH: Supercard of Honor)
This match is a dream match for many. The seeds were planted at "The Last Ring of Honor Show Ever" Final Battle in 2021 when FTR showed up unannounced to confront the Briscoe Brothers. Considering the Briscoes have not been on TV and FTR has had limited interaction with the Briscoes, it is impressive that the match is still generating a lot of interest. This match 100% has to deliver for ROH in the Tony Khan era to succeed. I suspect it will. The rest of the card interests me, but in the interest of not repeating myself, I will only pick 1 match from this show.
The cost is $29.99 on Fite TV and begins Friday, April 1st at 8:00 ET. If you are interested in ordering Supercard of Honor, you may do so by clicking here!
2. Thuzio SuperShow Live! ft Conrad Thompson, Jeff Hardy, William Regal, Jeff Jarrett, Eric Bischoff and more
Whereas not a wrestling show per se, Conrad Thompson and Ad Free Shows consistently put out a great product in the podcasting world. I spend more time than I care to admit listening to their array of shows. I have attended quite a few live events that Conrad and friends have put on including 3/4 Starrcasts. This live show will be an absolute hit. I will be watching it later on Friday night.
Also, the Ric Flair Mark Madden Twitter drama from Sunday adds another element to this live show...potentially.
The cost is $12.99 on Fite Tv and begins Friday at 8:00 ET. If you are interested in ordering Thuzio Super Show Live!, you may do so by clicking here!
3. Joey Janela vs. Sean "X-Pac" Waltman - (GCW: Joey Janela's Spring Break 6, Part 1)
Watching Spring Break has become a tradition of mine. I'm often just intrigued at the sheer levels of absurdity that Joey and friends are able to make not absurd...if that makes any sense at all. On Night 1, I've gone back and forth on which match interests me the most. It's a hard choice as several matches have severe implications. I decided to go with one that just seems fun in Sean Waltman vs. Joey Janela. You got to think Joey Janela's match on Joey Janela's show is going to be good right?...RIGHT!? Honestly, his matches from his shows are normally my favorite. Additionally, I expect we'll see some type of Scott Hall tribute that'll bring a tear to most people's eyes.
Joey Janela's Spring Break 6 Part 1 costs $19.99 and begins Thursday at 9:00 PM ET. If you are interested in ordering Joey Janela's Spring Break 6 Part 1, you may do so by clicking here!
4. Ultimate X for the X-Dvision Championship Trey Miguel vs Chris Bey vs Vincent vs Rich Swann vs Blake Christian vs Jordynne Grace (Impact Wrestling: Multiverse of Matches)
There have been 45 Ultimate X's in TNA/Impact. This is the 46th. The last one happened in just January and featured one of the competitors in this one, Jordynne Grace. Rich Swann is the only wrestler in the 46 Ultimate Xs that has previously won. Admittedly, I do not follow Impact closely, but the Ultimate X match always interests me so you know I'm dropping in.
Impact Wrestling: Multiverse of Matches costs $19.99 and begins on Friday at 10:00 PM ET. If you are interested in ordering Impact Wrestling: Multiverse of Matches, you may do so by clicking here!
5. The Greatest Clusterfuck featuring Maven, Jimmy Wang Yang, Jazzy Yang, Nasty Leroy, Kevin Matthews, Edith Surreal, Lord Adrean of the Walmart Dudes and Shazza McKenzie (GCW: Joey Janela's Spring Break 6 Part 2)
I will say the Clusterfuck battle royal is a big part of what makes the Spring Break shows enjoyable. With talent like Maven and the Walmart Dude, this quickly becomes can't miss. Personally, I'm pulling for that Nasty Leroy guy.
Joey Janela's Spring Break 6 Part 2 costs $19.99 on Fite TV and begins Friday at 00:59 PM ET. If you are interested in ordering Joey Janela's Spring Break 6 Part 1, you may do so by clicking here!
6. Minoru Suzuki vs. Biff Busick (2022 Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow)
This yearly show always has one match (at least) on the card that stops me and forces me to watch it. This year, on paper, it's Suzuki vs. Biff. Seeing Biff outside of the WWE/NXT is always a treat and Suzuki needs no notes. Everyone knows the type of wrestlers that these two are and they'll have a fantastic hard hitting fight at this show.
2022 Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow costs $14.99 on Fite TV and begins Thursday at 10:00 PM ET. If you are interested in ordering 2022 Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow, you may do so by clicking here!
7. Johnny Knoxville vs. Sami Zayn (WWE: Wrestlemania Night 2)
I am unironically looking forward to this one. I know the obvious critics are out there and it's hard to argue with that stuff, but I grew up a Jackass and a Jackass fan. Seeing Johnny Knoxville make his Wrestlemania debut at the ripe age of 51 is intriguing, terrifying and honestly kind of funny. I would be shocked if the Jackass crew was not at least at ring side for this one, but I think they will be more involved than that. Sami Zayn is the perfect opponent for Knoxville. This feud has been built up as perfectly as you could hope given the obvious obstacles that are in place with a celebrity. I wonder if we'll see Knoxville do a Shane-O-Mac type spot in this one.
Wrestlemania Night 2 is available on Peacock which costs $4.99 per month. The main card of both nights Saturday and Sunday will start at 8:00 PM ET. You may order peacock on www.peacocktv.com.
8. Fatal Five-Way Ladder Match for the NXT North American Championship: Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Santos Escobar vs. Solo Sikoa vs. Grayson Waller vs. Cameron Grimes (NXT: Stand & Deliver)
The North American Championship and ladder matches are a good combination, or at least they used to be. This one has a ton of talent, some newer than others, but these guys will undoubtedly be motivated to put on the match of the night. I would be shocked if they were not the best match on the card.
NXT: Stand & Deliver is available on Peacock which costs $4.99 per month. NXT: Stand and Deliver will begin at 1:00 PM ET on Saturday. You may order peacock on www.peacocktv.com.
9. Seth Rollins vs. Cody Rhodes
This story has caught my attention and tricked me into watching more WWE than I normally do. I've been waiting and waiting for Cody or someone else to show up at answer the challenge. Now that Vince McMahon is texting Seth Rollins and choosing his opponent, we'll see where it goes.
The more you think about it, the more Cody's move to WWE makes sense. That's fine man, go get your Wrestlemania payday. Personally, I'm interested in this one to see how they use the first AEW Wrestler to jump ship. They'll need to take care of him and make him look like a star immediately. It'll start with Wrestlemania!
Wrestlemania is available on Peacock which costs $4.99 per month. The main card of both nights Saturday and Sunday will start at 8:00 PM ET. You may order peacock on www.peacocktv.com.
10. Davey Richards vs “Speedball” Mike Bailey (USA vs The World)
Davey Richards continues his return to wrestling by fighting Speedball Mike Bailey. Speedball has been taking the indie world by storm the last several months. Bailey reminds me of Davey in a lot of ways and their styles well mesh extremely well in this one.
USA vs The World costs $14.99 and takes place on Saturday at 12:00 PM ET. If you are interested in ordering USA vs The World, you may do so by clicking here!
While this list is not EVERY single match that I'm excited about, it is a good starting point. Enjoy the week as like Santa, it comes once a year!
